Weekly program through Skype - Barzakh part 2

Barzakh is not only a place you stay and wait for judgment, but also a place that helps clean and purify you before yawm al qiyamah. Some part of the sins may be cleaned through the punishments we endure. Can be a place of opportunity for us as well.
Types of punishments
Faith in Allah, anbiya, aimmah are not only things that make barzakh easy for us. Some may believe in Islam, like ibn Muljim (la) but will suffer greatly.

Ibn Muljam is in one of the worst situations in barzakh. (Example from kitab ma’ad) Drew example of a big bird. A bird was sitting on rock and part of a man's body came out of the bird's mouth, the bird then left, came back, and another ¼ came out, the process continued till a whole human was let out. The large bird then came back and ate the body again by 1/4's –
this body was Ibn Muljim during one of his daily punishment at the barzakh world.This type of Barzakh level is: Barhoot – a place that is most severe in punishments for hypocrites and oppressors (regardless their religion). This is the beginning for terrible people which is just an introduction to a bigger punishment after barzakh.
Imam Ridha (as) worried for us about the life in barzakh.We should be careful about understanding the Holy Quran and the hadith, because the Arabic language is a complex and difficult language and the meaning of one single word has to be based on history, jurisprudence, hadith, Arabic grammar, rules.Barzakh can also mean the veil separating salt water sea and fresh water in the holy Quran.
Another example:
– e.g. about cutting hands, when Qur'an speaks about cutting hands – yad can mean an actual hand but also power, resources, - can also mean cutting the resources of a thief.This can be confirm with the way of punishing thief with the explanation how hazrat Yusuf (as) in the Quran dealt with his brother.
During government of ahlul bayt (as) there were no jails but criminals were forced to study in order to learn about how to stop committing sins;
actually the Ahl ul Bayt (as) didn’t used physical punishment.
Punishments of 'alam al-barzakh

The fire we'll face in hereafter exists in barzakh
If we're following the right path what will happen?
Al-Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) emphasized the punishments we'll face despite being on the right path. Not same type as those who have been sinning – the level of regular shi'a.

One thing that will help us – asking for shifa'a and believing in wilayah of Amir al-Mu'mineen. By respecting ahlul bayt Allah will love us. Belief in Imaamah even more important than belief in Nabi example of Ibrahim (as) who became Imam as well.

Nabi Muhammad (sawaws) said – barzakh is the middle of two things, this is the response of the goodness or the badness between this dunya and the aakhira.

In an hadith in Usul al Kafi: Jafar asSadiq (as) was worry even to his Shi’A about the life in the barzakh. His said: – By God, I'm afraid for you in the barzakh.
و الله اتخوف علیکم فى البرزخWhy? is because in Barzakh we won’t have any more the opportunity to ask for shafaa’a:
... اما فى القیامه فلکم فى الجنه بشفاعه النبى المطاع و وصى النبى

Barzakh is out of our control.
A common person came to Imam Jafar and asked about barzakh,
Imam said, Wallah, I'm scared for you for the coming of the barzakh.
The person said, what do you mean by barzakh?
Imam Jafar replied - القبر منذ حین موته الى یوم القیامه This is the life in grave while waiting for yawm al qiyaamah
Barzakh like a veil between the world and hereafter. Despite that, we'll experience many different things.
Other level of barzakh – Salmi سلمی
This is a peaceful level, where the true believers will live freely, having a tranquil heart and having the insurance of their upcoming next life’s stage as an even more intense pleasure and joy. verse aali imran verse 169
And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,

Imam Sadeq (as) explained that the believers will enjoyed very much their life inside the barzakh with the happiness for do to the next stage of life.

فاما ان کان من المقربین فروح و ریحان فى قبره, و جنت نعیم فى الاخره; و اما ان کان من المکذبین الضالین فنزل من حمیم فى قبره و تصلیه جحیم فى الاخره
مِّن عِندِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ عِندَهُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ

a reward from Allah, and with Allah is yet better reward.
Every single moment at Barzakh will be a joy waiting for the great day of the Divine Court, while praying that their relatives and friends to join them in barzakh’s garden. How Sad is for some other couldn't join them.

There are many things for us to reform – starting with ourselves. Need to focus on education, science, learning and not blindly following fallible people whatsoever. Nonetheless, We should imitate rules and verdict of respectable 'ulema that are among us and understand our situation
without blindly imitate superficially. Islam is a colourless, borderless religion, without a specific language, ethnic, culture; imitating a scholar is not a synonym to live as an Iranian, Iraqi and eat, wear, speak the same way. We must be proud of who we are, where we came from and where we live; nevertheless, Islam is given us limits and regulations to know what we can do or can’t do. For example, persian rice and kebab is the main food eaten by some of great scholars living in Qum, however these same scholars as soon as they live abroad, they will eat accordingly. All because Islam is an universal religion and it doesn’t belong to a particular culture.

In barzakh, we'll remember every type food we used to eat, the money used to buy it, and even our condition while eating (if we had wudu when eating it). Example give about one of a professor from Hawzah in Qum, sheykh an-Najafi who explained that a great scholar ate in a restaurant. This scholar while eating felt the food served was made by a cook under the state of junub
and then stop eating it. Therefore even the place we are going should be carefully chosen.Food is an important issue and we don’t want to arrive in barzakh’s world with shameful results about this matter.May Allah forgive us and for the occasion of the coming of the Holy month of Ramadan which will be harsh this year due to the late maghrib time, we should make resolutions and be fully aware about all our action in order to be save from the punishment of the grave, inshaAllah.
